Alternatively, the stunning overland journey via the Karakoram Highway takes 12–20 hours depending on your destination.

The optimal window for most Northern Pakistan destinations is May through September. April is magical in Hunza for cherry and apricot blossoms. Summer (June–August) offers the best trekking conditions with most passes open. October brings stunning autumn colors with fewer crowds.
