Discover Shogran

Shogran is a scenic mountain resort in the Kaghan Valley of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, located on a green plateau above Kiwai. Surrounded by dense pine forests and snow-covered peaks, it offers a quieter and more relaxed mountain experience within easy reach of Islamabad. The village sits at approximately 2,362 metres above sea level and is known for its cool summer climate, forest scenery and panoramic views towards some of the highest peaks surrounding Kaghan Valley. Visitors can spend time walking through the pine forests, relaxing at mountain resorts and enjoying views of Makra Peak, Malika Parbat and Musa Ka Musalla. The most popular excursion from Shogran is the journey to Siri and Paye. Local jeeps climb through forested mountain tracks towards Siri Lake and the open alpine meadows of Paye, where visitors are rewarded with wide views across the surrounding mountains. Shogran is particularly suitable for couples, families, honeymooners, photographers and travellers looking for a short mountain escape without a long journey deep into northern Pakistan. More adventurous visitors can add hiking and trekking towards Makra Peak, while relaxed travellers can focus on forests, viewpoints and the Siri Paye excursion.
