Travellers first reach Kel by road before continuing towards Arang Kel. The final approach normally involves crossing the valley by chairlift or cable-style lift when operating, followed by a steep uphill walk through forested terrain. Access arrangements can change with weather, maintenance and local conditions, so travellers should confirm the current situation before departure. The village is known for traditional wooden houses, green summer meadows, agricultural fields and panoramic mountain views. Walking through the settlement offers a quieter experience than the busier roadside destinations of Neelum Valley, particularly in the early morning and evening.
